Meet Ruby

Ruby's is a sliver of Swiss wine culture in Albion. We are an intimate neighbourhood bar and shop focused on good quality, minimal intervention wines. We're here for spontaneous visits, good conversations, and letting the evening unfold however it wants to.

The bar is named after our founder's border collie, Ruby. She is a perpetually optimistic pup who greets every visitor like an old friend and firmly believes the world revolves around her. She is usually right. We try to match her warm, welcoming energy.

With over 250 bottles on the shelf and 6 to 8 rotating daily pours, including our own house-made Pet Nat, there is always something new to try. We also have a growing vermouth selection to enjoy by the glass. We keep things simple with indoor and outdoor seating and a walk-ins only policy. DIY cheeseboard with our selection of snacks or scan a QR code to have modern Turkish meze from our neighbours at Olive Thyme delivered straight to your stool.

You have the flexibility of choosing any wine off the shelf to drink in store. Just add $30 to any take home price, no matter how big or small, to enjoy our hospitality in our space.

We stock a rotating selection of unique and classic wines from all over the world. From hard to find drops from Switzerland, to skin contact Georgian beauties. Even a great selection of wines from our own backyard, QLD.

Feeling Hungry?

We now have a rotating selection of cheeses, dips, charcuterie, olives and other snacks for a DIY board.

If you are feeling a little more hungry, we've partnered with Olive Thyme next door to bring you seriously good food without leaving your seat.

Browse their menu of share plates, wood-fired pizzas, and Mediterranean-inspired dishes—all designed to pair beautifully with natural wine.
