About us

Our Story

Inspired by a childhood spent in a small Swiss town, where sharing a bottle of wine is never just about the wine. It is how friends become family, milestones are celebrated, and communities stay connected.

We wanted to bring a little of that spirit here to Albion.

We care about community and where the wine has come from. That is why we focus on minimal intervention wines from independent winemakers.

We're here for spontaneous visits, good conversations, and letting the evening unfold however it wants to.

Meet Ruby

The bar is named after our founder's border collie, Ruby. A perpetually optimistic pup who greets every visitor like an old friend and firmly believes the world revolves around her. She is usually right. We try to match her warm, welcoming energy.

What We Pour

With a forever growing collection of unique and fun wines on the shelf and 8 - 10 rotating daily pours, including our own house-made Pet Nat, there's always something new to try. We stock a rotating selection of unique and classic wines from all over the world: hard-to-find drops from Switzerland, skin-contact Georgian beauties, and a great selection from our own backyard in QLD.

We also have a growing vermouth selection to enjoy by the glass.

Food

We have a rotating selection of cheeses, dips, charcuterie, olives, and other snacks for a DIY board. If you're feeling more hungry, we've partnered with Olive Thyme next door. Just scan the QR code and they'll deliver straight to your seat. Click here for the menu.

Walk-ins only. Indoor and outdoor seating. No pretension, just great wine, good people, and a neighbourhood that feels like home.
